Join us for an exclusive six-part ZOOM series exploring the foundations of Dr. Barry Harris’ legendary harmonic and improvisational method. Led by renowned pianist and educator Howard Rees, this hands-on series will introduce essential techniques including developing chord voicings and creating harmonic movement using the sixth-diminished scales, harmonizing melodies, and improvisation concepts rooted in chord-scale relationships. Whether you’re new to The Barry Harris Method or looking to deepen your understanding, this course will provide practical insights and applications for all instrumentalists of advanced beginner and higher skill levels.
Classes take place on Saturdays from April 5th to May 10th, with dedicated sessions for harmony and improvisation. Participants will receive handouts and access to class recordings.
